Made It...to Chicago

We made it to the airport in Chicago with a good amount of time before boarding, but before arriving Steve had a great idea to play a little icebreaker/get to know you game! So in the car here are some fun things we got to learn about each other.

You figure out what fact goes with which team member!

- one member was the last dairy princess before they changed the title to dairy "ambassador" (so that boys could also participate)
- one member hasn't shaved for six months
- one member moved 5 times in one year
- one member met Tim Tebow on a missions trip to the Philippines (that one was me...freebie for you, mostly because I like to brag about it...ah the good ol' days!)
- one member is going to run a half marathon in the fall
- one member loves Costco pizza
- one member broke their ankle while golfing on the first hole and then figured out how to play the rest of the course before realizing it
- one member has a killer sense of humor
And our FAVORITE
- one member once swallowed their contact, their mother "found" it, "cleaned" it, aaand used it again!
So all in all I believe it was a very informational journey, where we got to know each other very well. ;)

Now on to more serious matters. We gathered for a time of prayer before we left Calvary and I know we were all thankful for that time, the time to say goodbye to loved ones, the time to commit our trip to the Lord, and the long awaited departure for a life-changing trip.

We would love and appreciate your continued prayers. Things have gone smoothly so far today but I know a lot of us were feeling the spiritual warfare yesterday as we packed and prepared to leave today. Lee, our trip leader, hit a deer (thankfully, she wasn't injured at all), Sarah's medication prescription hadn't gotten ordered up (thankfully, she got that today), and a few of us were already feeling the weight of leaving loved ones behind (thankfully, God is taking care of our families even more than we know how)! All this to say, we are so thankful for your prayers and thoughts as we go and covet even more of them!

And here are a few pictures for fun!

   Marv. Driving like a champ.

    Steve. Zonked out already!

We love you all!!! You're the best.
